2018 was a year of massive transformation for me. Huge highs and difficult lows. And I am grateful for everything I’ve learnt. Here is my year in review.
Today’s guest is Lucy Lucraft who started as a travel blogger but who now focuses mainly on living a low impact lifestyle through veganism and zero waste. I really wanted to ask her about why she’s so passionate about using her platform in this way, and we got quite deep in this chat!
I really wanted to chat to today’s guest, Amy, because she does so much online with a blog, two podcasts and numerous creative projects, but she has a whole career outside of her online presence.
In this solo episode on Creatively Human, I reflect on my first year of motherhood, as my baby boy is turning one next week! I talk about how pregnancy, maternity leave and motherhood in general have impacted my business, and how we are handling things as a family.
I am getting well into my journey of balancing my business with a baby, so I wanted to give you another update now that Rowan is 8 months old. Edit: I never posted this at the time, he’s now 9.5 months old but the routine is pretty much the same, except he no longer naps in the afternoons (which is actually easier as we can do more with that time!)
As I get to grips with the idea of running my business while caring for my baby, I thought it might be helpful to record my journey with you! But I do have a massive disclaimer – if there’s one thing I’ve learnt since having a baby, it’s that all babies are different. So don’t compare your situation too much to mine. Some babies are more laid back, some require more care. Your day could look very different to mine! I really don’t want anyone to come away from this post feeling not good enough.
