Show Notes

Today’s guest is life coach and wedding celebrant Holly June Smith. We talk about one of my favourite topics when it comes to business: getting comfortable with being uncomfortable. We share examples of how we’ve stretched our comfort zones, how we’ve gotten better at selling what we do, how we (try) to avoid comparison online, and how we prioritise all the ideas alongside looking after small children.

“sometimes it’s more comfortable if things do fail, because you don’t have to go through with the bit that’s actually uncomfortable – Holly June Smith

Some of the things we talked about:

  • How discomfort has shown up for each of us in business
  • The difference between knowing something isn’t right for you vs. the need to stretch your comfort zone
  • Having too many ideas, prioritising, and balancing work and family
  • How we feel about selling and putting ourselves out there
  • Staying in your lane and blocking out the online “noise”
  • The importance of trying new things and opening yourself up to failure
