Episode #88: How I Use AI to Tighten My Launch Emails and Sell More

If you’ve been feeling like you need to start from scratch every time you show up or sell, it might be worth gently questioning that. Because there’s often so much value in what you’ve already created, and it’s allowed to evolve and get better without you burning yourself out in the process.

[00:00:00] Ruth Poundwhite: What if you didn’t need to write new launch emails every time you relaunch an offer? What if the emails you already have with a little bit of AI assisted [00:00:10] tweaking could actually perform better than anything you would write from scratch? That is what this episode is all about, saving time and energy each time you [00:00:20] relaunch your offer.

[00:00:21] Ruth Poundwhite: Welcome to the Solve. Full sales show where we talk about believing in the value of your offers, getting them in front of your right people, and selling [00:00:30] more of what you do in your unique way. Hi, and welcome back to another episode of the Soulful Sales Show. So today it’s gonna be a [00:00:40] practical guide to how I use AI to improve my launch emails.

[00:00:46] Ruth Poundwhite: Not always reinventing the wheel and [00:00:50] writing from scratch, but how I use AI to improve things and tweak things as I relaunch again and again, but of course, doing it in a way that still [00:01:00] feels like me and still has. My heart and soul at the core, because that is very important to me with the way I use ai.

[00:01:09] Ruth Poundwhite: So let me [00:01:10] give you a bit of context for what I’m about to share. So a few years back in my business, I had been doing loads of one-on-one coaching calls, group coaching, [00:01:20] high visibility launches, going live a lot, and. I realized a direct correlation between that kind of activity in my [00:01:30] business and my chronic fatigue.

[00:01:31] Ruth Poundwhite: I realized that high visibility, high energy launches were not sustainable for me anymore. Being on calls all the time was not [00:01:40] sustainable for me anymore, so I needed to find a way to keep. Selling to keep serving my clients in a way that didn’t [00:01:50] require me to be on all the time. So for a time I went all in on what I call laid back launching, which is a process where I [00:02:00] relaunch existing offers again and again.

[00:02:03] Ruth Poundwhite: I repurpose content rather than starting from scratch, and I schedule it all in advance so that it [00:02:10] is selling for me, without me actively being visible while I’m launching. And I have leaned on this again and again. [00:02:20] So in times of bad health, bad mental health, laid back launching has been really, really important to the way I run my business.

[00:02:29] Ruth Poundwhite: I even lean on [00:02:30] it with new offers, but. Technically at its core, it’s about allowing yourself to make more sales of things that you have already [00:02:40] created without reinventing the wheel when it comes to the offers you create and when it comes to the content you create to sell those offers. Now, one of the incredible [00:02:50] benefits of relaunching the same offer several times.

[00:02:54] Ruth Poundwhite: Is that you get to ask yourself, where can I make these emails [00:03:00] or launch content? Where can I make it better? Where can I improve? Where can I tweak? And this is where AI comes in. [00:03:10] And I have really honed the process with AI to make this kind of launching Was already laid back before I had trained AI to help me with it, but [00:03:20] now.

[00:03:21] Ruth Poundwhite: It is so, so powerful. So I wanted to share an overview of the system I am using with you, and this is something that if you want [00:03:30] to go. Deeper into, I have a course called the AI Sales Email Toolkit. You can either buy that standalone, but [00:03:40] the better value option is to join the Soulful Sales Society membership because you get that course included alongside loads of other.

[00:03:48] Ruth Poundwhite: Guides [00:03:50] to selling without being on all the time. We have a monthly Get It Done Week for actually taking action. You can get my support with it as well. So go to Ruth pound white.com/ss [00:04:00] to read more about that and there might just be a special trial offer active at the moment. So. I’m gonna give you the process, but if you want the details, the [00:04:10] AI Sales Email Toolkit course and the laid back launching courses are both included in that Soulful Sales Society membership.

[00:04:18] Ruth Poundwhite: Alright? So when it [00:04:20] comes to improving your emails using ai, helping them to perform better with every launch that you put on, the first step is to [00:04:30] feed your existing content into whichever AI tool you use. So. It’s really, really helpful. This is actually an [00:04:40] optional step, but I do recommend it because it’s gonna save you a ton of time and effort in the future.

[00:04:46] Ruth Poundwhite: Really, really helpful to upload your past emails [00:04:50] and ask the AI tool. To analyze them, to analyze your voice, to create a kind of brand voice document of, uh, things that you [00:05:00] say regularly, the tone of voice, things that you never say the way that you sell, all that kind of thing. ’cause you can use that again and again in future.

[00:05:08] Ruth Poundwhite: Again, I go into way more detail on that [00:05:10] in the AI sales email toolkit. Okay? So that’s the first step of this, to upload your existing content into your AI tool of choice. [00:05:20] Optionally, you can use that content to train the AI tool or create a document with your voice for future, but you don’t have to do that.

[00:05:26] Ruth Poundwhite: Now, what I do recommend you do is to [00:05:30] ask the AI tool for an audit of your emails. So you wanna ask it for things like. Are my calls to action [00:05:40] clear? Are they very obvious in the context of the email? Do they stand out? Do they match the energy and the topic of the email? [00:05:50] Sometimes that is a really quick win improvement with what I see with my clients.

[00:05:54] Ruth Poundwhite: Just making a calls to action really, really obvious. You can also ask AI to [00:06:00] analyze the kind of overall. Benefits and themes that you are giving people in your emails. That way you could see if there’s something missing potentially that actually [00:06:10] is a huge benefit of joining your offer that you haven’t landed on.

[00:06:13] Ruth Poundwhite: You can ask for alternate subject lines. This is a really, really, again, a really easy thing that you can test when you are [00:06:20] relaunching an offer, especially if you do. Uh, schedule it in advance and set up split testing for your subject lines. Just test out some alternative subject lines and see if you can [00:06:30] change those open rates, if that’s something you identified that you wanted to improve.

[00:06:34] Ruth Poundwhite: And you can generally ask questions about whether you feel you’re doing a good job at selling your [00:06:40] offer to the people who need it and what they need it for. So have a conversation with AI about this. Don’t. Blindly accept [00:06:50] anything that AI gives you in terms of suggestions. The really important part of this is that we are tweaking.

[00:06:55] Ruth Poundwhite: We are not reinventing the wheel, and we are absolutely [00:07:00] not editing this in such a way that it no longer sounds like you, or it becomes some pushy sales pitch that doesn’t feel like you. Okay. Another really helpful thing you can do [00:07:10] to tweak your emails when you are relaunching and repurposing is to ask your AI tool to read your entire email sequence and to [00:07:20] ask it.

[00:07:20] Ruth Poundwhite: Imagine that you are my ideal client and you can, you know, add a bit of a description about your ideal client if it doesn’t already have that from memory. What objections might [00:07:30] you have for joining this offer? It can be really, really hard for us, as close as we are to our own offers, to see the gaps, to see the reasons why [00:07:40] people might not think that this offer is for them.

[00:07:44] Ruth Poundwhite: They might not think it’s for their stage. They might not think that they have time for it. They might think they’ve [00:07:50] trial, tried and failed at things like this before. They’re some of them really common ones. But when you can really drill down with AI, having your entire. Launch sequence there to look at [00:08:00] and analyze.

[00:08:01] Ruth Poundwhite: You will probably find that there are some extra things that you can incorporate into the launch sequence, and what you wanna do with this [00:08:10] information is either you can. Potentially add one or two new emails. Now the whole point of laid back launching is that you are repurposing and improving what you’ve already [00:08:20] got.

[00:08:20] Ruth Poundwhite: But that doesn’t mean not ever creating something new. It can often be worth creating a new email if there is something you’re missing. Sometimes when I am [00:08:30] improving my launch sequences, when I’m laid back launching, there’ll be an email that had a really poor open and click rate that I just remove from the sequence altogether instead of improving.

[00:08:38] Ruth Poundwhite: And that one, maybe I would [00:08:40] switch with something that has come up. In my analysis, like an objection that I wasn’t covering or something like that. So you could add a whole new email or maybe ask [00:08:50] AI to see where you can naturally weave this in. ’cause it might not warrant an entire new email. It might just be a sentence or a paragraph added to an [00:09:00] existing email.

[00:09:01] Ruth Poundwhite: You really, truly do not need to write everything fresh. Sometimes one extra email, one email switched out, or an extra paragraph in an email [00:09:10] is enough. So can you see how simple this is? These are the main things that I would be asking AI to analyze. Now, if you wanna go a step extra, you can also [00:09:20] upload your open rates and click through rates for individual emails, and that way it can also.

[00:09:25] Ruth Poundwhite: Pull out themes that it notices in terms of [00:09:30] which kind of subject lines got the best open rates, which kind of content in the email body and calls to action got the best click-through rates. There is a major caveat to this in a launch sequence, [00:09:40] and that is that it is very natural for people to open less and click list throughout the launch sequence when they are getting several emails about the same launch.

[00:09:49] Ruth Poundwhite: So it doesn’t [00:09:50] necessarily mean that the middle emails of the launch. And I deliberately say middle ’cause usually you’ll get the most clicks on the start emails, and then the last chance emails. Sometimes the middle emails of [00:10:00] a launch can get less opens and clicks because people kind of, you know, anticipate that you’re still talking about the same thing.

[00:10:06] Ruth Poundwhite: It doesn’t necessarily mean that they’re worse or need to be improved, it’s just the [00:10:10] ebbs and flows of a launch. So use your own discernment when it comes to that as well. But yeah, that is a great extra step if you wanna get it to analyze some of that data. [00:10:20] Um, I actually did this with a bunch, like more than just one launch.

[00:10:24] Ruth Poundwhite: I uploaded an entire database worth of email data and it gave me some really helpful feedback [00:10:30] in terms of the subject lines I use and the kind of flow of the email that lands best. And it helped me also to see where I was being a bit vague and where I. Uh, [00:10:40] dancing around the point of the email rather than getting straight to why this matters.

[00:10:45] Ruth Poundwhite: So it’s a really, really great learning experience for me that I believe has [00:10:50] made me a better writer for myself. And that’s the key thing about this. I am not saying that we should be using AI to replace our writing [00:11:00] or even do our writing for us, but using it as a partner to help us analyze data in a way that.

[00:11:06] Ruth Poundwhite: Let’s be honest, can be very overwhelming, or we may not even [00:11:10] know what we’re looking for without this kind of help. Really, really helpful and has truly made me a better email writer. One of the other ways that I [00:11:20] often use AI is that I will write the content myself, but I will ask AI to tighten it up or to make it shorter, which has really, really helped me.

[00:11:28] Ruth Poundwhite: I am very. [00:11:30] Traditionally long-winded in my emails and I have become much tighter with the way that I write them thanks to the help that I’ve had with ai. So as you can see, it’s a really, really [00:11:40] simple process. The more you feed your content and do this kind of analysis with ai, the more it will know your voice anyway.

[00:11:49] Ruth Poundwhite: It [00:11:50] will remember your voice. You know, chat, GBT, Claude, they all have these memory features that help them remember your style, your voice, your offers, your clients over time. [00:12:00] So it really does get easier and easier over time, especially if you do take a little bit of upfront time to properly train AI on your voice.

[00:12:08] Ruth Poundwhite: So. If this is [00:12:10] resonating, this is a very, very small part of the work we do in the Soulful Sales Society membership, which is basically designed to help you [00:12:20] sell more with less effort and being, not having to be on all the time, like I talked about at the beginning of this episode. So right now, inside the soulful Sales Society, that is Ace.

[00:12:29] Ruth Poundwhite: [00:12:30] $7 trial offer. This offer won’t be around forever. At the time of release of this episode, it’s just open for a few more days. I am debating whether this is the last time I’ll offer it. I [00:12:40] may offer it one more time, but it might be the last time. So if you have been thinking about joining the Soulful Sales Society.

[00:12:46] Ruth Poundwhite: If you actually want the accountability to get it [00:12:50] done, to improve a launch sequence and to relaunch an offer with much less work, much less stress, and much less energy, we have a get it Done week [00:13:00] coming up on laid back, launching. We also have an entire training on how to train AI to write your sales emails in a way that feels like you, so you [00:13:10] can combine the two.

[00:13:11] Ruth Poundwhite: Get it done, stay accountable. All for $7. So now is the time to join. If you have been thinking about it, you can go to ruth pound [00:13:20] white.com/ss to read more or to sign up for your $7 one month trial, and I will be there to support you along the way If you wanna stay a member. After that, you can [00:13:30] get the price of $49 a month.

[00:13:32] Ruth Poundwhite: Again, that is about to go up, but you can cancel anytime. So if you join for the month and decide it’s not for you, that is absolutely okay. You can cancel from your own [00:13:40] portal. Or you can submit us a cancellation form and we will do it for you. But yeah, I hope that this has been helpful in basically encouraging you to repurpose your emails in the first place [00:13:50] because I think a lot of us have a mental block thinking that we do need to create new content all the time that our subscribers will notice if we rinse and repeat, which they absolutely won’t.[00:14:00] [00:14:00] Ruth Poundwhite: But also rinsing and repeating is really beneficial for you as a business owner to improve your messaging, to improve the, the way that you write your emails and the [00:14:10] way you sell in your emails. And AI has just made it a whole lot easier. So go and try it. Let me know how it goes. Remember, you are still the heart and soul of your business.

[00:14:19] Ruth Poundwhite: [00:14:20] Don’t let AI do all the writing for you. It’s really, really important that your voice and personality is still in there, which is where training AI comes in handy as well. But yeah, I hope that you found that [00:14:30] helpful. I will catch you again next week with another episode in our series of aligned AI chats.

[00:14:37] Ruth Poundwhite: So be on the lookout for that one. And in the [00:14:40] meantime, I hope to see you inside the Sol Sales society@ruthpoundwhite.com slash ss. “You don’t need to create more to sell more – you need to trust, refine, and reconnect with what you’ve already built.”

Show Notes:

What if you didn’t need to write new launch emails every time you relaunch an offer? What if the emails you already have, with a little bit of AI assisted tweaking, could actually perform better than anything you would write from scratch? That is what this episode is all about: saving time and energy each time you relaunch your offer.

In this episode, I’m sharing how I actually use AI to refine and improve my existing launch emails rather than constantly starting from scratch. This is about making your launches more sustainable, especially if your energy or capacity fluctuates, while still keeping your voice and heart at the centre of your messaging.

I also walk you through simple, practical ways to analyse what’s already working, tweak what’s not, and build a repeatable process that gets better over time. This isn’t about replacing your creativity – it’s about supporting it, so you can sell more with less effort and more ease.

What I Talk About in This Episode:

  •  Using AI to improve existing emails
  •  Auditing calls to action and messaging
  •  Spotting gaps and missed objections
  •  Refining subject lines and performance
  •  Selling sustainably without starting over

💭 [02:03] – “I repurpose content rather than starting from scratch, and I schedule it all in advance so that it is selling for me, without me actively being visible while I’m launching. So in times of bad health, bad mental health, laid-back launching has been really important to the way I run my business.”

💭 [14:00] – “Rinsing and repeating is really beneficial for you as a business owner to improve your messaging, to improve the way that you write your emails and the way you sell in your emails.”

💭 [14:20] – “Don’t let AI do all the writing for you. It’s really, really important that your voice and personality are still in there, which is where training AI comes in handy as well.”
