Episode #4: Kat Nicholls on Self-Worth, Mental Health & Starting Something New

My latest podcast guest is Kat Nicholls. She’s been writing and blogging for a while and has just launched her self-worth coaching services. She’s super-honest about her mental health journey – we don’t get into too many details, but Kat does mention her eating disorder and anxiety, so this episode comes with a trigger warning.

Show Notes

My latest podcast guest is Kat Nicholls. She’s been writing for a while for Happiful Magazine and her blog, Blue Jay of Happiness, and has just launched her self-worth coaching services. She’s all about health, self-care, happiness and learning to love your whole self, and I loved our chat!

Trigger warning: Kat is super-honest about her mental health journey – we don’t get into too many details, but Kat does mention her eating disorder and anxiety.

Your business is a part of you, it is part of what you do, so therefore if you’re not looking after yourself, your business isn’t going to flourish.

– Kat Nicholls

Some of the things we talked about:

  • Being honest about mental health online, and how people react to that
  • Learning about yourself through writing, and knowing when to take care of yourself
  • Why your self-worth doesn’t depend on your business results
  • Why we focus on the tiny bad things instead of the big good things
  • Posting things we’re nervous about
  • Being an introvert and how it affects the way you do things

I have a folder which is called ‘feedback’ and I keep all the positives in there, so I have a bank, a mental archive of all the lovely things people have said to me over the years.
