Episode #94: Update: Podcast Rebrand, The Book & Business Celebrations

In this mini update, I talked about:

  • Podcast updates & rebrand
  • Radical prioritisation

  • Celebrating being fully booked
  • Celebrating my certification
  • The free 5-day course coming next (ruthpoundwhite.com/challenge)

Creatively Human is now…
Quietly Ambitious!

My podcast changed its name to Quietly Ambitious in November 2021. You might notice some older posts and episodes that use the old name, Creatively Human.

Hi, and welcome back to the creativity human podcast, except it’s actually not going to be called creatively human for much longer. And that is one of the things I wanted to update you about today. So the day that this is scheduled for release October, the 10th, just so happens to be the three year anniversary of when I first started the podcast, which is just amazing. I cannot believe it’s been three years already. I’m so proud of everything. I’ve created everything I’ve done, the ways in which I stretched my comfort zone to get here. And if you’ve listened for a while, you will have heard me talk about that before. If not, you can find it in season one where I started about the journey where I talked about the journey to starting a podcast. But yeah, it’s been three years and I have been on a break between seasons of the podcast for the longest break that I’ve ever had since I started podcasting and the reason I decided to take a break was basically radical prioritisation. I love podcasting. It is quite a lot of work, it has always been absolutely worth it. But I needed to radically prioritise and take things off my to do list that one essential, and unfortunately, the podcast was one of them. So I have been thinking about when I would start up again. hive really to be honest with you just been getting the knowledge that I want to do it, like I miss it. podcasting for me is creative is so meaningful. And when I’m in the zone with it, I absolutely love it. And I have been missing it lately. And at the same time, you know, my business is going really well. I’m fully booked with clients, with one to one clients. I also have my restaurant group programme. I’ve got lots of courses that I’ve been creating. There’s just a lot going on. And I still feel like I’m not ready to dive back into podcasting, at least in the way that I was doing it before. So here’s what I’m planning to do. Behind the scenes, we are already working on rebranding the podcast to quietly ambitious, but as the new name of the podcast, and there should be a new season starting mid November. Now I actually already have a full roster of guests who have already said yes to being interviewed. But why I’ve decided in order to make this easier for myself is that the next season is going to be purely solo episodes. For me. I say purely I do have a couple of things recorded the answer to episodes. But generally it’s going to be solo episodes for me under the new brand of quite ambitious. The way I like to record my podcast is I do make basic notes. But I don’t script the episodes, I just make an outline for what I want to say, then I wait till I’m in the right mood to talk, which often depends where I am on my site in my cycle. And then I just sit down and record and talk. And when it flows, it can be really, really easy. So having made this decision for myself about how I’m going to do the next season feels really, really exciting, because it means that I can get back to doing what I love with the podcast, and get back to communicating this way, talking to you. Just Yeah, I love it. And at the same time, I don’t have all the logistics of scheduling interviews. Now I do love the interviews as well. But I’m going to save that for next year. So that is what’s happening with the podcast. Probably sometime soon, you’re going to see it start to change in your podcast player, you’re going to see new artwork, you’re going to see a new name and description, but it’s still going to be at its core, the same podcast. It’s just that I’ve felt a nudge for a while now to bring everything under the quietly ambitious brand. I really think it just sums up what I do, why I do it, why I care about it, who it’s for. And I happen to have a book of the same name coming out early in 2022. So quietly ambitious the book is the next thing I wanted to talk about in this mini update. It is coming out in January. The plan was it is a self published book. The plan was that it would be coming out in 2021. And again radical prioritisation just being honest with myself about my capacity.

So I decided to push it back to 2022. And let me tell you, there’s something about putting a book out there that brings up all the fears or visibility fears all the Yeah, all the feelings. And that’s okay. It’s okay to have the feelings, it’s okay for things to feel uncomfortable. I’m stretching myself in the name of what’s ultimately right for me, which is absolutely a core thing that I believe in, in my business and the work that I do with my clients. So it’s all coming together, the book actually is based on the podcast, with some differences, but it’s based on a lot of the stuff that I’ve spoken to in the podcast, but really takes you on a journey through my entire philosophy of what it means to be a quietly ambitious human and business owner. And yeah, it’s all going to be under the same brand of quite ambitious. And let me just like hint at this now, but I have plans for the brand, I can see it being a brand in its own right, I can see maybe some sort of products related to the brand. But that’s all I’m gonna say for now. Because it really is just an idea at the moment. It’s not something that I have the capacity or the inclination to totally act on right now. But it’s definitely something that’s bubbling away under the surface. So that’s what’s happened with the podcast with the book, what else is going on right now. So I can’t actually remember when I last spoke to you through the podcast, but I know it was many months ago. And something I just want to celebrate in public is the fact that my business is going really well.

I have been fully booked, mostly fully booked for the best part of the year, there have been periods within the last year that I haven’t been fully booked. But by and large, I have been fully booked for a year. At this point in time I fully booked for one to one clients until January 2022. And in January, I only have one space. So if you are thinking about working with me one to one, then that’s definitely something that you might want to get in touch with me about sooner rather than later. So just interrupting myself, my husband just walked in on me and I had to pause recording, because I’m awkward like that. But it’s kind of a sign of the way I kind of want it to be with my podcast, not with the interruptions. But just the fact that I’m sat in the lounge with my many new microphone. And I’m just recording because I feel like talking and that is basically totally the vibe I want for the next season of the podcast. So I’m also going to experiment with recording out on a walk. So you might hear a few outside kind of noises, and stuff like that for the new season. But anyway, what I was talking about was the fact that I am fully booked. And I only have one space left in January. So get in touch if you might be interested in working together. But more than that, I also wanted to say Firstly, it’s really important for me to celebrate this milestone, and to also share that for anyone listening who wants to be fully booked and isn’t fully booked. It doesn’t mean anything. Like you just got to keep doing what you’re doing. keep showing up to sell your thing. Keep talking about it, and it will happen for you. I remember when I really wanted to be fully booked, and I was not getting the clients and I was not getting the inquiries. And you can make it mean a lot of stuff. But ultimately, it comes down to time it comes down to believing in your prices, it comes down to doing the mindset work to keep going and keep believing. And it comes down to experience. And that was the next thing that I really wanted to celebrate and update you on since I recorded the last season of the podcast, I now fully certified in all the things. So I was I describe myself as a business mentor, and I was coaching as well as mentoring. I don’t believe that I needed a coaching certification I already knew I was doing when it came to coaching. I am now certified in coaching but more than that was the other modalities that I just got certified in so NLP hypnosis EFT time techniques, all of this stuff, just it’s been such an amazing experience for me to go through this certification process because it’s not just about learning the techniques. It’s about going through the transformation yourself. And, of course practising the techniques as well. And I’m just so happy to share that I’ve done it, you know, it’s been like nine months or over nine months, it’s been a lot of work. It’s something like 350 hour certification, and I’ve done it and it’s not just about the certification, but I’ve realised over the last few months that I’m I’m in a place where I’m just feeling more confident than I ever have about the work that I do about the way I show up to support my clients, both in terms of the things that they’re rocking. And when they’re finding stuff hard, and when things aren’t working for them, and when they need that faith and that motivation to keep going. And it’s just feeling really, really good. And it’s not that I want to carry out everything I say that is good about my business, I just want to remind you that wherever you’re at in your journey, it gets to be good. It gets to work, it gets to bring in the money that you want it to get to be as fulfilling as you want it to. Doesn’t always feel like that every moment.

So yeah, celebrating that. I am also about to run a free five day course. So if you’re listening to this on the day it comes out, the free course is starting the next day on the 11th of October, if you’re listening to this later, I would go ahead and have a look, the course might not be available anymore. But at the moment, it’s available at Ruth poundwhite.com forward slash challenge. It’s all about the five pillars of profit for sensitive business owners, I’m basically going behind the scenes on setting up yourself, your business, your offers your pricing your ecosystem, and the way you sell in a way that means you can sustainably grow your business as a sensitive human. So you may already be doing fine. But it’s basically setting you up to really own what you want, and grow it in a way that doesn’t take away from who you are. And that is sustainable in the long term. I am so excited about delivering this course. I’ve done free challenges before. But this really is designed to be like a free course. I want it to be as good as a paid experience. That’s the intention I’m going in with. I want you to get a lot out of this. So do go to Ruth poundwhite.com forward slash challenge to sign up for that. And off the back of that free course I am going to be opening the doors to my group programme rest and rise. It is a six month programme, it takes you through my entire framework for building growing scaling a business as a sensitive business owner. And the price for that is going up permanently after this next intake. So that will be open until the 19th of October, after which the doors will close for a while and when they open again, the price will have gone up by quite a significant amount. So again, if you’ve been thinking about working with me, now is definitely the time to get in touch. But whether you are going to work with me or not do sign up for the free course because it’s going to be really good. I promise you that just to give you the link a third time. It is Ruth poundwhite.com forward slash challenge. Okay, so I’ve talked about what’s happening with the podcast, the book, celebrating my business success. The upcoming free course i’m not sure what else there is to update you on. except to say it feels really good to just be having a little chat with myself I By the way, it doesn’t actually feel like chatting with myself, when I’m recording this, it definitely feels like chatting with someone with you, except for the fact that I literally am talking to myself in my lounge. I think I might need to stop talking at this point. But yeah, it feels really nice. It feels really nice to just record it when I feel like recording it. And I think that is the feeling I want to take with me for the next season of the podcast, I want to say things when I really want to say them. I want to just speak to you about what’s going on in my business, what’s in my heart, what’s working, what’s not. And I think it’s going to be a really good season. I’m also going to be publishing my 100th episode in the next season. And I have a little something special lined up for that, which is me basically a friend interviewing me for the podcast. And that was really, really fun to record. We’ve already recorded that. There’s also going to be an episode with my wonderful mastermind sisters. So all four of us on one episode talking about the importance of rest in our lives and businesses. And we’ve also recorded a little bonus audio for everyone, anyone who is interested in putting together their own self led mastermind group as well. So that is the update. Things are going well. Things are exciting. Yeah, I don’t think there’s anything else I need to say except Just be aware that the name is going to change and the artwork is going to change but the podcast is basically going to stay the same. So I will catch you again for the official next season in November. In the meantime, go to Ruth poundwhite.com forward slash challenge and sign up for the five pillars of profit five day course. And if you’re not already there, then also sign up to my newsletter because that is the place that I stay in touch most consistently It is my favourite way bar by talking on the podcast, my favourite way to communicate so make sure you run the newsletter as well. And yeah, I will catch you again in November for the officially rebranded quietly ambitious podcast, season six I think it is. I’ll speak to you again soon.
