Episode #58: Journalling for Business Owners (My Best Tool During Lockdown) [Rebroadcast]

The episode I’m sharing with you today is incredibly relevant right now. In fact, I’d say that journalling has been my best tool to cope with, adapt to, and positively respond to all of the changes that have been happening over the past few months. But if it doesn’t work for you, don’t let it be another thing to add to your to do list. Take what does work for you and leave the rest.

Show Notes

At the time of recording this, the UK has been on lockdown for around a month. I don’t know about you, but I have a lot less mental bandwidth during this time. So I’m continuing to radically prioritise my work, and that includes a few re-published episodes of the podcast. It just so happens, though, that the episode I’m sharing with you today is incredibly relevant right now. In fact, I’d say that journalling has been my best tool to cope with, adapt to, and positively respond to all of the changes that have been happening over the past few months. But if it doesn’t work for you, don’t let it be another thing to add to your to do list. Take what does work for you and leave the rest.

Side note: I have created a free 5-day audio series called “Your Daily Moment of Clarity”. There is a lot of noise out there at the moment (understandably), so my aim for these five days is to cut through all of that and figure out what you need to do right now. It’s not business as usual, but it’s important that we all keep going in the way we personally need. Go to ruthpoundwhite.com/dailyclarity to sign up and you’ll receive the first audio in your inbox right away (I’ll also add the link to the show notes). Each audio is 5 minutes or less (I kept them deliberately short for those low on time an/ or mental energy).

“what three things have you done well today?”

Some of the things I talked about:

  • The benefits of journalling (for everyone)
  • How journalling affects business, helps me make decisions & get over my fears
  • How I personally journal (including freewriting, morning pages, gratitude & more)
  • Some of the tools I use
  • Tips for fitting journalling into a busy day
  • Some useful journalling prompts
  • A few more alternative methods I use to access my intuition
  • My basic form of bullet journalling
